“Break Free”

I’m so happy and emotional right now. My best friend asked me a few weeks ago to make him a photograph. And yesterday, I finally did it. We laughed like in the old times, uncontrollably. I also told him that I was moving to US, and only yesterday I realized how much I’m actually going to miss him. Our friendship is not the same as it was before, but the fact that no matter how much we change as persons and grow apart, but still when we’re together we’re the same, is just beautiful. I’m so thankful to call him my best friend and for being able to live that kind of friendship that not everyone has.

I think this has been the most painful photo I’ve ever made. On Wednesday night, I was thinking of what i was going to do next and I thought of making this picture. And yesterday I did it. I spent like 30 minutes trying to tape a black sheet to my wall to use it as my background. I kept failing, the sheet kept falling down, the tape was just awful, but after struggling so much, I did it. Then, I had to keep doing this same pose over and over again and I got so dizzy that I had to stop and lay down in my bed. I felt so bad but I had to finish it. And after 2 hours of editing, I was quite happy with the result. It wasn’t easy doing it but it was worth it. Another fun experience, even though it was painful.

This one was actually inspired by a drawing I saw a while ago from spider-man, but I twisted it a little. I think it can represent a few things. But one of them is when you feel like you’re falling into an unknown place and you find something or someone that pulls you up. And I added the stars in honor of TFIOS. I really hope you like it.
